Business Gameplay Community Summit in Novi Sad is happening soon
On Thursday, November 7, at 5:00 PM, another Community Summit will be held in the amphitheater of the Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad, organized by 3Lateral as part of Epic Games. The Business Gameplay Community Summit will discuss the state of the entertainment and media industry, with a focus on the gaming industry. This event will be an opportunity for creators to connect, exchange ideas, but also to expand their teams.
The summit will start with a panel discussion called Opportunities in the local games industry, where you can hear more about the state and future of our industry, as well as the potential for project development, the necessary resources and other topics that may be of interest to you if you want to make a successful game. The participants of the panel will be Marija Ilić, President of the Board of Directors of the Serbian Games Association (SGA), Norbert Varga, Senior Game Designer at Ducktech Design and Igor Levaja, Senior Solutions Manager at 3Lateral. The panel will be moderated by Miroslav Mićević, Chief of Operations at EBB Software.
On this occasion, we asked Marija Ilić why such gatherings are important, and she tells us:
“Talking about the state and future of the video game industry is critical to empowering our community, as well as creating new opportunities for all creatives and entrepreneurs. Through such events, we have the opportunity to share experiences, identify needs and resources necessary for the development of projects, as well as to work together to create successful games. Our industry has enormous potential and we must recognize it, support it and make the most of it. Connecting with colleagues and exchanging ideas not only strengthens the community but also inspires new generations of talent. That is why it is important that together we continue to build an ecosystem that enables global competitiveness.”
Next, a Pitch & Match session will be organized for the first time at the summit. This “cooperation exchange” was preceded by a call for creators of developing ideas, and based on originality and feasibility, three projects were chosen that the authors will present at the event. The session will be moderated by Unreal Fellowship alumni Nikola Silić, 2D and 3D Artist, Producer and stand-up comedian. After that, those interested in working on these projects will have the opportunity to meet their authors and discuss possible cooperation.
The language of the event is Serbian. It is an open summit but the number of places is limited, so don’t forget to register at this link. Applications will be open until the places are filled, so you better hurry!
