Info day of the Creative Europe program dedicated to the development of video games
Within the Creative Europe competition is the MEDIA sub-program, which focuses on the development of video games and immersive content. The current call for proposals is open until February 12, 2025, while the results are expected in July.
Companies that can answer the call for proposals are those that are majority-owned by citizens of the Republic of Serbia and focus on the production of video games, or they are XR studios and audio-visual production companies. They need to create commercial and original content with quality gameplay, which is intended for the global market and is available on different platforms. The project’s duration must be at most 24 months, and the maximum amount of requested funds shouldn’t exceed 200,000 euros per project.
It is important to emphasize that the production phase is not covered by this call for proposals and that projects are expected to include strategies that promote sustainable and environmentally friendly industry, with special emphasis on gender equality, inclusiveness and diversity. Projects must have a distinct narrative aspect that is integrated into the overall game experience.
MEDIA Desk Serbia provides free support in the preparation of the application and, on the occasion of the announcement of the call for proposals, organizes an info day on Thursday, November 7, at noon, at the European House Belgrade (8 Zmaj Jovina Street).
During the info day, the goals and conditions of the call for proposals, the financial framework and examples of successful projects will be presented, and if you already have an idea for applying or a finished project, you can schedule a consultation.
Registration for the info day is mandatory and is available at this link.
