Serbian Game Devs on a Quest to Reboot

More and more gaming teams from Serbia are working on their first (or second) titles. The key to their success is to gather feedback from players and to give as many potential publishers or investors the opportunity to try out the demo. Plus, a view of the sea and good parties aren't to be wasted!

This year, SGA is returning to its favorite spot – Reboot Develop Blue. Find us at the booth in the section with associations of other gaming industries, where you can meet Uroš, Marko, and Filip and try out their games:

  1. Swords and Hexes by Studio Bedem
  2. Idle Hooligans Club Fights and three unreleased games by OOX Limited
  3. Svarga by Sproggle Games

We asked Uroš from Bedem what he expects from the conference, and he emphasized: “Conferences like Reboot are essential for finding investors and publishers for small studios like ours. It’s important for us to make new contacts, for publishers and investors to see what we’re working on, and for players to leave their critiques and comments so we can improve and release our game in the best possible shape.”

And that exciting new projects are on the horizon, Filip from Sproggle Games promised: “We want to showcase true Slavic mythology and the life of Slavs in that period. We exclusively use written sources and facts recorded throughout history. We also want to find an investor who would help us realize the entire project.”

In addition to the SGA booth, we’ll also be moderating a panel discussion on the topic “Funds and other types of assistance for indie studios in Europe” featuring:

  • Youri Loedts – Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Head of Games Fund
  • Chris Filip – UK Global Screen Fund | British Film Institute, Fund Manager – International Business Development
  • Hrvoje Mitic – The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), Biz Dev Director
  • Kristina Janković Obućina – Serbian Games Association, Executive Manager
