This unique master’s program lasting three semesters will connect the field of arts (fine arts, applied arts, and design and musical arts) and the field of natural and mathematical sciences. In addition to its distinct multidisciplinarity, the Art and Design of Video Games program is characterized by its uniqueness and authenticity, which are reflected in the fact that the most up-to-date knowledge and experience in the field of programming are offered in full capacity and equally, but with a new dimension that adapts scientific and technological knowledge to the field of art. On the other hand, basic knowledge and skills from artistic fields are applied and incorporated into the field of video games.
As this master’s academic program is designed as a space where academic knowledge meets the expertise of professionals from the creative industries sector, the University of Arts in Belgrade has established agreements and signed a collaboration contract with companies Ubisoft, Nordeus, Playstudios, Mad Head Games, and Crater Studio. These companies will provide full support for the practical part of the master’s program. Primarily, this involves the presence of partner companies/studios throughout all three semesters of instruction, thus consistently throughout the entire program. Students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all aspects of working on the preparation and realization of various elements in the development, design, and production of video games. They will then incorporate these experiences into their final projects.
Upon completion of the master’s program, students are expected to be capable of efficient teamwork with professionals of various profiles, including designers, artists, and programmers, engaged in the production of video games. At the same time, they should have acquired general academic knowledge and skills, as well as artistic and technical-technological expertise related to the field of game design and production, as well as other related branches of the creative industries.Upon completion of the master’s program, students are expected to be capable of efficient teamwork with professionals of various profiles, including designers, artists, and programmers, engaged in the production of video games.
