Games from Serbia and SGA at this year’s Dev.Play conference

The new edition of the Dev Play conference, organized by the Romanian Gaming Association (RGDA), is being held on October 25th and 26th with the participation of a large number of professionals, publishers and industry investors. The focus is on Eastern Europe, while games from Serbia and SGA participate across the rich conference program.

This year’s edition of the Dev.Play conference, organized by the Romanian Game Developers Associaton (RGDA), is dedicated to independent developers. On the first day, which will be dedicated to industry-related talks, several Romanian and foreign independent video game developers will share their success stories, along with a number of other presentations and panels.

Dev.Play will offer strong visibility for Eastern European games on Steam during the conference. A number of video games developed in Eastern Europe will be promoted on the front page of the Steam platform to millions of users around the world. “Dev.Play continues to find new ways to strengthen its position as a video game promoter from Eastern Europe around the world. It is very important to support independent study projects, which helps them become competitive in the global market, and in the long run it contributes to the growth of the entire sector in the region.”, said Catalin Butnariu, founder of Dev.Play conference and president of RGDA.

Following this track, selected games from Serbia will also be part of the Eastern European showcase, and some of them part of the indie streaming festival scheduled for October 26 – 10-hour marathon where enthusiasts and developers will be able to watch 20 independent games developed over the last two years.

SGA and our distinguished member company and co-founder, Nordeus, will also take part in the regular program of the conference. SGA’s Program Director Relja Bobić will speak at a panel on state aid to the gaming industry on October 25th at 2 pm (CET), together with Johannes Roth from the Mimimi Games studio, as well as Romanian MP Raoul Trifan. On the same day at 11 am (CET) Miloš Đuričanin, Impact Strategist at Nordeus and member of the SGA Board of Directors will also speak at the conference, with the topic Building the Talent Pipeline in the Gaming Industry.

In addition to a rich program of lectures and talks, Dev.Play also offers many workshops. The conference will continue to include already traditional elements, such as business networking, virtual exhibitions, video game pitching opportunities and much more.

Tickets are available on the Dev.Play website. The event can be accessed via the Content Pass, which is completely free of charge for the first time! Anyone who is interested in the industry and who wants to listen to live speeches at the conference can do so by registering for free with this pass. You can also see a list of other ticket packages for developers on the conference website.
