Demagog Studio is working on a new title! For the first time, it will not be related to the post-apocalyptic world of their previous games, but will be part of the transmedia IP of SIXMOREVODKA.

Demagog Studio marked the Serbian indie scene with the trilogy Golf Club: Nostalgia, Highwater and The Cub, while SIXMOREVODKA, the German studio founded by Serbs, is no less well-known to us, especially for their work on characters for League of Legends.

SIXMOREVODKA is, however, also working on its own projects, including Orkena transmedia IP that tells the story of a major conflict from two opposing perspectives. This will be achieved through serialized fiction, illustrated novels, world and setting books, as well as art books, allowing players and readers to enter this universe from multiple angles from the very beginning. But that’s not all, is it? There’s also a video game!

Orken is an action RPG with stamina-based combat, inspired by Dark Souls and Dragon’s Dogma. The game follows the Khar warrior Coltek, who sets out in search of his friend and soon learns what fate awaits his homeland, and that it is time to fight for his own survival.

We asked Marko Đurđević, Creative Director and Orken Dad, how the collaboration with the Serbian indie team came about:

“Demagog Studio has a strong track record of original, narrative-driven projects with a clear identity, and they immediately understood the transmedia idea behind Orken. It’s a dynamic, young, and ambitious team with a real go-getter mentality, comprising people who don’t overcomplicate things but focus on building, testing and delivering. That was a perfect fit for the way we wanted to develop a game: focused and with a clear, long-term vision.”

And here’s what Miloš Milojević, Director of Demagog Studio, says about the collaboration:

"This was our first time working on someone else's IP, and it was a different experience for us. We had a clear framework for the story, world and characters, which was a change from our previous work. That's why we focused most of our attention on the actual production of the game, where we had freedom in designing the mechanics and what kind of experience the game would provide to players. It was different, but we quickly adapted to that way of working."

The launch of the demo is directly linked to the next big step for Orken: On February 26th, the Kickstarter campaign will be launched and the demo will be released on Steam. Mark the date and add it to your wishlist!
