The German gaming accelerator Spielfabrique is a guest within the Playing Narratives program

As part of the Playing Narratives program, which includes lectures by local, German and French gaming industry experts every week, the German accelerator Spielfabrique will be presented on Monday, June 7, through another lecture open to the wider community, this time dedicated to the publishing process of the independent video games.

The Playing Narratives program was initiated and implemented by the Goethe-Institut and the French Institute in Serbia together with SGA, and the lecture dedicated to the publication of independent video games is realized in cooperation with the German gaming accelerator Spielfabrique, which is one of the project partners. This accelerator program for beginners and young entrepreneurs in the gaming market is the first of its kind in Germany, aimed at helping game developers achieve their goals in a more professional, faster and more efficient way. The program is based on a comprehensive mentoring package and a first-class network of companies, gaming experts, investors and partners in the creative industries.

The lecture The Publishing Challenge for Video Game Developers with SpielFabrique is giving detailed explanations on the meaning/definition of publishing for independent developers and provides a framework to follow when deciding to go for a publishing partnership or not. Also, I will provide a short view of the current market evolutions and the pro and cons of the platforms for publishing.
The lecture will be held on Monday, June 7, starting at 5:30 PM, and the interested audience can follow it via Zoom.

The eight-month program is an initiative of the French and Goethe Institutes in Serbia and SGA, with the support of the French-German Cultural Fund. The general sponsor of the project is DigitalArrow from Novi Sad, and in addition to the main partners in the realization, local companies Two Desperados and 3lateral (Part of Epic Games) are also participating as prominent sponsors. UbisoftBelgrade is also a sponsor of the project. Renowned organizations from Germany (accelerator Spielfabrique) and France (Higher education institution for Video Games and Interactive Digital Media Cnam-ENJMIN) and their lecturers are also involved in the implementation of the project. Our work-space partner is ImpactHUB.
