Playing Narratives: The Grand Finale

The fifth generation of young creatives will present their video game concepts after five months of collaboration. Come support them!

The Serbian Games Association (SGA) and partners (3Lateral / Epic Games, Nordeus, American Resource Center) have once more organized Playing Narratives, a program during which 30 young people interested in game design, 2D and 3D art and animation, as well as sound design and music composition, learned how to make video games. During five months, numerous lectures, practical exercises and a visit to Nordeus introduced them to the video game industry, and with the professional support of mentors, they developed concepts for their first projects. This event is the very end of their work.

Six teams will give seven-minute pitches of their game ideas live. These presentations will be judged by a panel of industry experts:

  • Martin Kadinov, Co-founder of TDB Play, Bulgaria;
  • Nadežda Todorović, Senior UI Artist, Nordeus;
  • Milica Todorović, Producer, Ubisoft;
  • Anđela Simić, Game Designer, Sperasoft.

Add the event to your Google calendar at this link.

This program would not be possible without the support of dedicated industry partners, 3Lateral as part of Epic Games and Nordeus, as well as the American Resource Center. The founders of the project are SGA, the Goethe-Institut and the French Institute in Serbia.

Martin Kadinov,
Co-founder, TDB Play
About the lecturer

Martin has been a passionate gamer ever since a kid. As such, he has spent most of his gaming time playing real-time and turn-based strategy games, RPGs and arcades. In the late 90’s and early 00’s, StarCraft and WarCraft III opened the world of professional gaming (esports) to him, where he competed on a pro level globally with multiple tournaments played (including quite a few in Belgrade and Novi Sad). As a video-game professional, Martin has worked with leading developers and publishers – Riot, Blizzard, Ubisoft and others, with a focus on creating meaningful community experiences. Born and based in Bulgaria, Martin has organized multiple conferences focused on game development.

Since 2022, he has been leading Goodgame Bulgaria, an initiative in Bulgaria working in the field of education.

In 2025, Bulgaria, in partnership with Goodgame Bulgaria, became a partner to SGA for bringing Playing Narratives to Bulgaria.

Nadežda Todorović,
Senior UI Artist, Nordeus
About the lecturer

Nadežda Todorović is a UI Artist at Nordeus, currently working on the development of Nordeus’ new game, Top Goal. She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and began her career at Nordeus in the Marketing Art team, where she gained valuable experience.

She later transitioned into UI design, driven by her passion for working on games and the sense of contributing to a complete player experience. Her love for drawing and art has been present since childhood, and alongside her daily work, she also enjoys designing for books and conferences – likely because she occasionally misses that analog approach.

Anđela Simić,
Game Designer, Sperasoft
About the lecturer

I’m a gamer, a book lover and a chronic hobby collector. Over six years of experience in mobile F2P games, starting from a Level Design internship, moving through Game Design, and on to becoming a Product Owner, has allowed me to blend creativity and mechanics design with systems thinking and business goals. Alongside my industry work, I’m a teaching assistant for the Game Art and Design master’s programme at the University of Arts in Belgrade, where I support students in understanding Game Design and breaking into the gaming industry.
