SGA Insights: UI Workshop

How do you transform a simple UX wireframe into a screen that looks like part of a finished game? How do you choose a visual style that suits the themes, integrate various graphic elements into a cohesive whole, and yet keep the design clear enough for implementation? In this SGA Insights session, we will tackle precisely these challenges and—step by step—turn a basic arena-selection screen into a visually polished interface ready for implementation.

In this hands-on workshop you’ll take a real UX wireframe — an arena selection screen from a competitive mobile game — and design its full visual identity: background, header, and arena pill components skinned by country theme.

The focus is not on drawing assets from scratch, but on making smart art direction decisions: choosing a visual style, combining ready-made assets, and producing a screen that feels polished, coherent, and shippable.

What you’ll walk away with: A complete, visually styled arena selection screen — background, header, and 2–3 arena pills each skinned as a unique country — built in your tool of choice and ready for handoff or animation.

IMPORTANT: This event is for SGA members only. The number of participants is limited.

About the lecturer
Nadežda Todorović is a Senior UI Artist on Top Goal, Nordeus’ newest football title, where she designs interfaces and player flows for mobile games. She started at Nordeus as a Graphic Designer on the Marketing Art team before moving to the game side as a UI Artist. In her work, she focuses on the whole player experience rather than just how a screen looks, combining UX, UI, motion design and storytelling to make interactions feel intentional. She’s most interested in building things players actually enjoy using and want to come back to.
