AI in Game Production – a FTW! masterclass

The only local conference fully dedicated to the domain of video game development, FOR THE WIN!, will soon present its fourth edition. A rich program of lectures, panels and workshops awaits you on May 28 and 29, with more than 50 speakers from all over Europe. The first time, indie studios will have the opportunity to present in front of the public and, more importantly, foreign publishers.

AI IN GAME PRODUCTION

More than 500 visitors will gather at the fourth edition of FTW! on May 29, and a special program is organized the day before. It is the masterclass AI IN GAME PRODUCTION, which will be taught by Felix Balmonet, Co-founder and CEO of Chat3D, the first AI-powered modeling software.

The two-hour masterclass will discuss image generation with tools such as Flux, and participants will be able to test Flux Schnell live. It will also explore the latest versions of ChatGPT and what they bring in terms of creativity and production flows, including discussions of LoRA models.

The workshop will also include segments on video generation, 3D asset regeneration using Chat3D and, to a lesser extent, audio generation. Participants will have the opportunity to bring their own laptops and mobile devices to try out tools such as Chanel, ChatGPT and Chat3D during the session. A large part of the masterclass will be focused on integrating generative AI into production pipelines, with real use cases from the studio – be it prototyping, fine-tuning, or deployment.

Félix Balmonet,
CEO & Co-founder, Chat3D
About the lecturer

Félix is an AI enthusiast from France with an engineering background. He has previously founded and worked in different startups, including one focused on machine learning for CNC machines and computer vision. In that project, users could draw and the machine would cut around their designs, a concept developed with Fab Labs in mind.

That is where he met Glenn, his current co-founder, who is a machine learning engineer. Together, they share the vision that AI is not an end in itself but rather a tool that helps artists better execute their ideas, possibly reducing their reliance on complex graphical interfaces.

Today, they advocate for more control over AI-generated content. They founded Chat3D in the summer of 2023 to bring this vision to life, simplifying the 3D modeling process for video games and animated films.
