This year, the first Yugo Game Awards are being held at the Montenegrin Monte Games conference. The SGA sent a list of all Serbian games released since September 2024 and those that have only been announced on Steam, and the committee selected candidates for awards in several categories.

Monte Games is an international game dev conference taking place on October 17th and 18th in Porto Montenegro in Tivat. Admission is free, and in addition to numerous lectures, visitors can visit the b2b and Indie zones. Exhibiting a game in the Indie zone is free, and registration is possible via this link.

What is new this year is that the event will present the Yugo Game Awards: awards for the best games created in the countries of the former Yugoslavia. As many as 11 games created in Serbia have been nominated for awards in six categories. The awards ceremony will take place on October 17 at 8:00 PM, and the broadcast can also be followed on YouTube, Twitch and TikTok. The winners will be decided by a jury.
