We’re looking for a QA Specialist who combines a deep love for games with a sharp eye for detail. In this role, you’ll play the game daily, ensuring every feature, system, and environment meets the highest quality standards. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues early, support development, and help deliver polished, player-ready experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily gameplay testing across builds, including free-roam exploration and structured test cases
- Identify, reproduce, and clearly document bugs and issues
- Conduct functionality and regression testing to ensure stability across features and milestones
- Support feature implementation testing, validating new content and systems
- Verify fixes and ensure issues are properly resolved
Collaboration & Workflow
With QA Leadership
- Work under the guidance of the QA Lead
- Follow established QA workflows, pipelines, and communication channels
- Align on priorities, testing scope, and execution plans
- Receive ongoing mentorship, feedback, and progress tracking
With Production
- Understand milestone goals, delivery timelines, and quality expectations
- Prepare milestone-specific test cases in advance
- Ensure testing aligns with production schedules and deadlines
- Report results clearly through defined channels
With Developers, Artists & Design Teams
- Collaborate closely to triage and resolve issues efficiently
- Support artists and developers by testing specific features and content
- Stay aligned with ongoing development of environments, systems, and gameplay
With Client QA Teams
- Participate in alignment sessions with external QA leadership
- Work within client-defined pipelines and standards
- Review and validate external playtesting feedback and reports
Requirements
- Previous experience in video games QA testing
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and processes
- Familiarity with game development pipelines
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience testing on console, PC, or mobile platforms
- Genuine passion for video games and player experience
Nice to Have
- Experience working in co-development or external partner environments
- Exposure to large-scale production pipelines
- Understanding of art and level development workflows
- Familiarity with game engines
