Description
Responsibilities
- Work with Lead Artist and other artists to maintain production appearance, including quality and art style across all project assets
- Develop, maintain, and create both high polygonal sculpts and real-time game assets matching (or exceeding) project and studio standards
- Work with Lead Artists to ensure timely completion of game assets
- Communicate regularly with the Lead Artist regarding the status of current tasks
- Investigate client technology and be highly proficient in it
- Help Lead Artist or develop briefs and documents for asset creation and training
- Explore new technologies on the given platforms to achieve best possible results
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
- Contribute to the team-oriented environment
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in game development
- Strong artistic background
- Heavy focus on photorealistic art, high poly modeling, clear understanding of the normal map creation process and PBR
- Maya, Zbrush and Photoshop (or equivalent packages), Quixel or Substance Painter
- Experience with Game Engine Technologies such as Unity and Unreal or Frostbite
- Expert understanding of current game environment development processes, limitations and dependencies
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
- Exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure and silhouette; as well as of light, shade, color and detail
- Strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games
- Proactive and self-motivated, works without direct supervision
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
- Good English communication and writing skills
- Experience or base knowledge of scripting languages, shader materials and in-game asset management is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment
- Ability to create concept art
- Traditional drawing, painting or sculpting skills
- Understanding of rigging and skinning
