You are an experienced Lead Character Artist with exceptional skills. Creating cutting-edge character art ignites your passion, and you are eager to join forces with a team of big thinkers to craft top-notch artwork!

We are unconventional creators of action games for PC and consoles – extremely fun to work with and definitely not for the faint-hearted. For over a decade, we pioneered the local game dev scene, driven by the ambition to become the regional game dev leader.

Currently, we are developing two big games in Unreal Engine: Scars Above, a challenging and immersive 3rd person Sci-Fi shooter… and one unannounced project based on a famous horror film IP.

What will you be doing as a Mad Head?

  • Modeling and Sculpting of High resolution realistic Characters and Creatures based on provided concept art
  • Work on Realistic Texturing with attention to detail in Substance Painter or similar software
  • Being team lead of Character Art team and help teammates to create finest characters (this includes mentorship, giving instructions, task feedback, modification of models etc.) as well as outsource partners
  • Plan, prioritise and set inspiring objectives for your team members
  • Creating and defining character assets with the highest visual quality within technical and production limitations
  • Ensuring that character assets are prepared according to technical standards and ready for next steps in production pipeline (eg. animation) and game import
  • Work closely with look dev team in order to ensure that the models look stunning in game
  • Collaborate with other development department leads

What do we expect from our ideal candidate?

  • Experience working on AA/ AAA titles
  • 5+ years of experience in game development and at least 1 shipped game
  • Leadership experience with internal or external teams
  • Strong knowledge of Human and Creature Anatomy
  • Strong understanding of Cloth Simulation in Marvelous Designer (or similar software)
  • Good understanding of Human motion and Facial Expressions
  • Good understanding of Low Poly, UV and optimization workflows
  • Experience working in Unreal Engine (or a similar game engine)
  • Mastery of standard art packages such as Maya, Zbrush, 3DS Max, Blender, Cinema 4D, Modo and other
