We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team and lead the way towards developing the best gaming experiences for our players.

As a Lead, you’ll be in charge of organising teamwork, setting goals & priorities, and upholding a high technical standard. You will act as technical lead and team lead, providing guidance and mentoring for tech roles. As a part of the product team, you will also take an active role in development, owning features from start to finish.

Who you are:

  • You have been working with Unity engine professionally for 5+ years OR working with C# professionally for 5+ years and have some experience in game development.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience working in lead roles
  • You’re a true engineer when it comes to code design and architecture, you strive for simplicity and your solutions are future-proof.
  • You have an analytical mind and are problem-solving-oriented, you see what’s wrong and you do something about it.
  • You are highly independent and able to get things done, and you are also a highly dependable team-player, you take charge of your time.
  • You have some experience with managing performance and setting goals on the team and individual level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as a technical and team lead to tech roles (software engineers, tech artists, and QA);
  • Advocate and promote company and development vision, goals, and pillars throughout the team to achieve alignment with them and set clear expectations;
  • Take charge of your team’s quality of work and establish engineering best practices to deliver simple and future-proof solutions, focus on software health and eliminating tech debt;
  • Proactively suggest and implement initiatives (new tech, processes, etc), and set development strategies, policies, and architecture for your game;
  • Participate in team brainstormings, challenge decisions and influence the game with your own creative ideas;
  • Work with the team to detect challenges and analyse risks, and to eliminate them;
  • Work with producers/game leads to ensure smooth and predictable development and release cycles, and keep stakeholders informed about release and feature plans, challenges, risks, and timelines;
  • Lead your team by example by closely following principles and practises the development team is committed to, while also advocating for and participating in continuous learning;
  • Lead the development of your game by owning game features from start to finish;
  • Utilise the full potential of C# and the Unity engine to build core gameplay and live ops features, and research and introduce new tech when necessary.

As a picture puzzle logic game, NoNo expands our portfolio beyond the marble shooter category, which has been engaging over 30 million players for years now.
