WORKSHOP FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY
#IamRemarkable is a global Google initiative that aims to empower everyone, especially women and underrepresented groups, to celebrate and talk about their achievements in the workplace and beyond.
What many women cite as a stumbling block is the inability to stand behind their successes, which they often justify with a variety of reasons. What experts call “intruder syndrome”. This prevents them from advancing, standing up for themselves, asking for a raise or promotion, and in the long term negatively affects their career development, regardless of whether they are game designers, programmers, seniors or just entering the gaming industry.
In this workshop, facilitated by Magdalena Maxan from Google in Berlin, you’ll learn tangible tools to help you advance your career and empower those around you.

INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD OF VIDEO GAMES FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS
Working on video games is the dream of many gamers and what often prevents them from pursuing a career in gaming is just a lack of information. You can make games if you are talented in: drawing, writing, music, if you are the one who always organizes who will do what, if you are the best at computer science or mathematics.
Each of these talents has its place in working on a game, and these lectures aim to do just that. To illuminate what can be done when creating a game and to reveal to you your hidden – or obvious – talent that is sought after in gaming today.
Lectures are given by experienced girls who have been working in our biggest gaming companies for many years. They made games that today are played by tens of millions of people all over the world.
