After a long time, SGA is returning to an “obvious” topic for one of its meetups – art. But this time, it’s a special [Concept] Art Meetup featuring Sixmorevodka, the acclaimed Berlin-based studio specializing in concept, character and cover art, among many other things. We are lucky to have both the studio’s Founder and Art Director in Belgrade with us, for an extended Q&A session and a special portfolio review for all the local aspiring concept or character artists.
Sixmorevodka is a premier creative studio based in Berlin, Germany, renowned for concept art, illustration and visual development services for the entertainment industry. Founded in 2010 by Marko Đurđević, the studio has established itself as a leader in crafting visually stunning and innovative artwork, particularly in the realms of fantasy and science fiction. Specializing in character design and illustrations, Sixmorevodka has collaborated with top-tier clients across the gaming, film and publishing industries, including giants like Riot Games, Warner Brothers, Sony, Marvel and others.
Beyond client work, Sixmorevodka develops its own intellectual properties. The studio is the creative force behind DEGENESIS, one of the most critically acclaimed tabletop role-playing games to date. Currently, they are expanding their creative endeavors with ORKEN, a fantasy transmedia project that represents their second-largest IP development.
This special SGA meetup is hosted by our friends at Playstudios Europe (6th floor of Beograđanka building, Masarikova 5). The event takes place on Wednesday, September 18th at 7 PM, and will be held in English. Entry is free, but registration is mandatory.
This is a unique opportunity for all the local artists to meet Marko and Jelena, hear about their amazing journey so far and find out how it is to work with the “big league” in parallel to developing their own amazing and successful IPs. And of course, hear what they have in store for the future. After a short intro lecture, there will be an extended Q&A session, so – get your questions ready!
As we would like to use their presence in Belgrade to the maximum and give opportunities to young local artists, Marko and Jelena will be doing portfolio reviews at the Playstudios Europe space in the hours before the official meetup (5:00-6:30 PM). If you would like to secure your own 10 minutes with one of them, please register via a separate link (than the one for the general event registration). There will be only nine slots available for each of them, so only the first 18 applying will have a chance for a one-on-one with Six More Vodka (first come, first served!).
If you apply in time, you will be assigned to Jelena or Marko randomly, so please respect that. You will also be notified of the exact time of your portfolio review slot in case you apply in time.
