Applications for the master’s program Art and Design of Video Games is announced

During September, the University of Arts in Belgrade is announcing the contest for the master's program Art and Design of Video Games, together with the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade.

This unique master’s program lasting three semesters will connect the field of arts (fine arts, applied arts, and design and musical arts) and the field of natural and mathematical sciences. In addition to its distinct multidisciplinarity, the Art and Design of Video Games program is characterized by its uniqueness and authenticity, which are reflected in the fact that the most up-to-date knowledge and experience in the field of programming are offered in full capacity and equally, but with a new dimension that adapts scientific and technological knowledge to the field of art. On the other hand, basic knowledge and skills from artistic fields are applied and incorporated into the field of video games.

As this master’s academic study program is intended as a space where academic knowledge meets the experience of experts from the creative industries sector, the University of Arts in Belgrade made agreements and signed a cooperation agreement with the companies Ubisoft, Nordeus, Playstudios, Mad Head Games and Crater Studio. which will fully support the implementation of the practical part of the master’s program. First of all, we are talking about the presence of partner companies/studios, represented in all three semesters of classes, i.e. continuously in the entire program, where students have the opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of work on the preparation and realization of various segments of making, designing and producing video games. , and then include those experiences through realization in their final work.

After completing the master’s studies, the student is expected to be able to work effectively in a team with different profiles of experts, designers, artists and programmers – engaged in the production of video games. At the same time, he should have mastered general academic knowledge and skills, artistic and technical-technological aspects related to the field of design and production of video games, as well as other related branches of creative industries.
