Remodeling the cooperation between art and technology

Creative Tech Serbia supercluster presents a special, international panel discussion on alliances and networks within the creative industries field, with a focus on game development and media (post)production - at this year's CGA Belgrade conference

Moldova, Lithuania, Serbia and Ireland have pushed for clustering in the creative sector. At this year’s CGA Belgrade conference, the  panelists will have 10minutes to present work of their creative cluster/collective taking in local challenges and vision for the future.

Panel will discuss the idea of bringing different subsectors for future goals, industries working together like game and film, animation and VFX, architecture and even publishing.

What are the models of working with educational institutions and building the community?

How important clustering are for international positioning of creative sectors and export promotion?

How to assess the cooperation within your network?

What has been the key in establishing the strategy for collaboration?

What are the best initiatives bring technical and artistic education together?

These are just some of the inspiring questions we will reflect on in this panel!

About the lecturer

Game dev evangelist with over 15 years of diverse academic and software development experience. Doctorant, lecturer, and courses creator at the technical university of Moldova, and the Executive Director of the Creative Industries Association (COR). He founded Game Factory, the first game dev conference in Moldova, and also officiates the Unreal Engine community in the country.

Milica Božanić,
Executive Director, Film in Serbia
About the lecturer

Milica has been actively engaged in the establishment of the Serbia Film Commission and runs the independent industry-driven network of over 60 companies with a focus on the international positioning of Serbia as a film destination. This has enabled her to develop core skills in international marketing and communications at the same time as policy development and facilitator in capacity building of the film professionals in the country. She took upon a strategic role in is development of Computer Graphics and Arts Conference Belgrade (CGA Belgrade) that strives to bring an international spotlight to Serbian VFX, game dev, and digital arts studios and talents.

Relja Bobić,
Program Director, SGA
About the lecturer

Ever since the early 2000s, Relja Bobić was the author of numerous cultural and artistic projects realized in Serbia, as well as across Europe, in USA and Canada. Active as an independent curator, arts and events manager, music promoter, radio author and translator, he initiated and took part in 100s of events, co-founded four international festivals, curated many exhibitions, conferences, publications and informal education projects.

In 2012, he was one of the co-founders of Nova Iskra creative hub, and later on the European Creative Hubs Network. He enjoys designing physical and cognitive spaces within which young creatives can collaborate and create in new ways. Since 2020, he is the Program Director at SGA (Serbian Games Association).

Nicky Gogan,
Head of R&D / Executive Producer, Piranha Bar
About the lecturer

Nicky has had a highly prolific career in the creative industries and cultural innovation over the past 20 years. In 1999, she founded the Darklight festival, and in 2008, she established still films, where she has produced award-winning documentaries and artist films. At Piranha Bar, she combines her ongoing passion for storytelling and innovation across a slate of animation and hybrid series.

About the lecturer

Producer Kestutis Drazdauskas is the founder of Artbok, the leading film and TV production company in the Baltic region. Kestutis has produced and co-produced more than 20 feature films and TV series in cooperation with numerous countries around the world.
