Gamification and emotional game design

In addition to mainstream games, there is a whole host of creators who use video games and the tools used to produce them in other imaginative, transmedia ways. They make games with a message, experiences that deepen music and film, or something else that is in the realm of the experimental.

Participants of the third cycle of the Playing Narratives project will have the opportunity to hear two alternative ways in which video games can be used, as well as how, if they choose, they can establish their own gaming studios that are inclusive and use video games for a deeper purpose.

For a long time, games are not used and made only as a form of entertainment, but find their place in the industry of fashion, music, film, advertising, and game design concepts go beyond the limits of the gaming industry.

We would like to thank the A MAZE. festival from Germany for helping us invite two phenomenal girls as (virtual) guests who show exactly these alternative forms of game design and entrepreneurship.

This program is organized and managed by SGA (Serbian Games Association), but it would not be possible without the support of the RECONOMY project, as well as dedicated partners from the industry – the company 3Lateral / Epic Games, Ubisoft Belgrade, and Two Desperados. In addition to them, the platform and the A Maze festival also participate in the project. / Berlin, as well as the Goethe-Institut and the French Institute in Serbia.

RECONOMY is a regional inclusive and green economic development program of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in partnership with Help-Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V and others in the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkan countries.
