FOR THE WIN! Conference – Keynote program

Under the slogan "Building exceptional game industry ecosystems", the conference will bring together almost 200 actors from the local, regional and European video game development industry in Belgrade on April 8, and offer an exciting program and networking opportunities, in as many as three locations! The local game dev community will be introduced to speakers from leading global companies such as Google, Outfit7, Epic Games, Focus Entertainment, Fingersoft, Playrix and others.

For the Win!: Building exceptional game industry ecosystems is not a usual gaming conference. It is a highly international event that brings together various actors, companies and ecosystem organizations, with the idea of exchanging experiences and good practices, inspiring colleagues and influencing decision makers, in order to enable the best possible development of the local gaming ecosystem, and realize its full potential.

The all-day program – which will be held at the Yugoslav Film Archives (Kinoteka) and Bitef Theater, as well as other informal spaces in downtown Belgrade – will have its distinct stakeholder and b2b components. The first part of the program will present numerous European associations (Italy, Sweden, France, Romania and others, as well as the EGDF), and transfer their own practices of building successful frameworks for gaming ecosystem development, and various models of cooperation with the government, civil society and the market economy.

After the all-day program at Kinoteka, a completely different, almost festive atmosphere greeted us at the Bitef Theater, where three keynote lectures were scheduled, as well as the premiere presentation of the latest SGA annual report (for 2021!). In this way, the SGA became the first association in the world to publish its report for the previous year in early April. One aspect in which the domestic industry is already ahead of more experienced colleagues from the rest of Europe, and the report was presented by SGA Executive Manager Kristina Janković Obućina, who has been in constant contact with the entire community and representatives of all teams and companies since the association was founded.

This was also an ideal introduction to a review of global industry trends given by Tobias Knoke of Google, based on research the company conducted with Newzoo. This was followed by a review of how to best adapt your work process to the new distribution methods offered by Nuša Gantar from Outfit7, and at the very end of the program was the rare appearance of the founder of 3Lateral, today one of the leading people in new technologies at Epic Games – Vladimir Mastilović.
